SAP Web Intellgence + Squirrel365

Squirrel365 integrates with SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence in two ways. Using the SAP Webi Connector, you can pull data from Webi reports directly into your Squirrel365 spreadsheet, making it available to drive components, calculations, and app logic. And using the Squirrel365 custom element extension for Webi, you can embed a published Squirrel365 app as a custom visual inside a Webi report — bringing interactive tools, calculators, and scenario apps into the BusinessObjects environment your users already work in. Together, the two integrations let you both consume SAP data and enrich the SAP reporting experience with interactive Squirrel365 apps.

What you can do

• Connect to your SAP BusinessObjects environment via a BusinessObjects URL, with support for standard WACS ports or custom port configuration
• Browse your full Webi document library from within the Squirrel365 connector panel and select the report and table you need
• Land Webi report data into a dedicated data sheet or a specific range in an existing spreadsheet sheet
• Trigger data refresh on project load, on cell value changes, or both
• Track data loading status in a spreadsheet cell to monitor initiation, progress, and completion
• Embed any published Squirrel365 app inside a Webi report as a custom element, using Squirrel365's Webi custom element extension
• Combine Squirrel365's interactive controls and writeback capabilities with Webi report data in a single BusinessObjects view

Common use cases

Interactive apps powered by Webi data: Pull Webi report output into Squirrel365 and bind it to tables, charts, or what-if calculators — creating apps that surface SAP data in a more accessible, user-driven interface.

Scenario modelling on top of SAP data: Use live Webi report data as the foundation for scenario tools, letting users adjust assumptions and see the impact alongside actual BusinessObjects figures.

Squirrel365 apps embedded in Webi reports: Add a Squirrel365 app as a custom element inside a Webi report, so users can interact with calculators, input forms, or scenario tools without leaving the BusinessObjects environment.
